And all the men and women merely players 2

Dustin: This fellow is my loving life mate, and the father of my children. He is my missing piece. He works full-time, and is home far less in the summer than in the winter– as is the way of Alaskan days. Oh, yes, that’s where this little story takes place, a small town called Sterling in south central Alaska.

Torsten: The eldest of my  trouble trio is a bright child. Gleeful in his mischief, but shy in the public eye,  Torsten is an unusual boy. He loves clocks, to the point of obsession. He takes everything he does very seriously, but does it without significance. It is highly likely he has mild Aspergers. At the time this blog began, he was nigh approaching 3 years-old. He was born October 2, 2008 and is now  6.

Rafe: Rafe is my unexpected second born. He and his brother are a mere 14 months apart. For those who suck at math, that made him a little over 18 months at the time of this post. Rafe is monstrous for his age, and has a heart to match his size. He will do anything to acquire a reaction, and is greatly interested in facial expressions. He also has been dancing—or at least moving to the music of Viking death metal since he was born on January 24, 2010. He is now 5.

Ash: Ash was my planned child, though he was supposed to be a girl. He was born on his brother’s 4th birthday, October 2, 2012 and well, wasn’t even a thought when this blog started. He is now 2 years old. Ash is the embodiment of trouble. He absolutely loves to cause mischief and takes impressive joy in doing so.

Aeris: Aeris was born Friday the 13th of March, 2015. My long-awaited female spawn. We haven’t had much time to get to know her yet, but thus far she is every bit DSCF5534 (600x800)the impatient, beautiful, and intelligent baby we expected.

….. and me..Mom: I’m a 29 year old stay at home mom and writer. I never thought I’d be either, but I couldn’t be happier. My real name is Amanda. I never liked common things,  so I unwirklichwrite under the pen name Unwirklich Vin Zant. 2 points if you get the joke there. That is my real last name, yes, with a space– blame my husband.

I first want to start by thanking you for writing the article about the nails falling off. I am a fifty years old grandmother who cares for my granddaughter pretty much full time. Now this is definitely not my 1st rodeo. I actually raised 4 children. But, there seem to be things happening with my grandchildren that none of my children went through, leaving my husband and I feeling quite perplexed. Not to mention I find it quite disturbing I learn more from the Internet than from actual doctors. They constantly stress not to do it but thus far most of the info has been accurate. My granddaughter had the hand foot and mouth virus. I had truly never heard of it and I am disappointed her pediatrician didn’t tell me that this could happen. I am not really much of a social media person but I am eternally grateful to you hip tech savvy people who blog and post any and everything it has truly been a true blessing for me.

    Thanks so much!!!!!!!
    From a very grateful grandma

You are most welcome. 🙂 It’s awesome you are so involved in your grand kids lives. Mine have some awesome grandparents themselves, and I know how much that means to a kid.
